We are surely facing one of the most demanded and appreciated violins by professional musicians, a whole Guarneri del Gesú "Lord Wilton" by the Master Luthier Andrea Varazzani. We are probably talking about the best replica made today of Yehudi Menuhin's famous violin.

The "Lord Wilton" violin was classified among the great masterpieces of Guarneri del Gesù, a violin that was in the possession of Yehudi Menuhin, now Lord Menuhin, since 1978.

The outline is wider in the lower parts than in previous models, accentuated by the flattened appearance at the upper and lower ends, a characteristic that "Lord Wilton" shares with other instruments of the same period, "Alard" (1742) and the "Cannone"(1743). There is great freedom and vitality in the wide curves of this model, as well as an impressive spaciousness and presence.

In short, it is a violin of exuberant beauty, but above all it stands out for its great projection and the singular sensitivity of its sound.

A must try violin!
